Project 365, Day 1: Backgammon Board
I’m starting a new project for the next year or so – Project 365. I came across Web site earlier this week – Photojojo. They had this article about taking a photo every day for a year, and I thought it would be a great way to improve my photography, so I started Wednesday.
The photo below is part of the outside of our backgammon board. We bought it years ago, at the Greek Festival in Norfolk, back when they had really cool stuff for sale in the market. This board was handmade in Syria from tiny pieces of inlaid wood. I think we paid about $65 for it.

A really late holiday wish
Happy New Year! Yeah, I know, it’s two weeks old already. I haven’t been feeling great lately, so I haven’t been doing a lot of cooking. Dan’s been doing most of the cooking the last couple of weeks, and it’s been great! Way to go!
Anyway, here’s a photo from our trip to the Mayan Riviera in, I think it was, late 2001? Just to warm you up on a cold day.
